What is priceyourmeal.com?

Priceyourmeal.com is turning the process of booking a restaurant on its head by allowing YOU to decide how much you pay for your meals. In our dynamic online auctions, you can now bid against others and make great savings at great restaurants.

If you prefer not to bid, we also have 'Buy it Now' listings that give you great savings instantly.

How do the auctions work?

  1. Login to the site with your username and password
  2. Find any auctions you wish to win and place your free bids
  3. You will win if you are the highest bidder when the auction closes
  4. Complete payment on the site, or pay when you dine (only on selected auctions)
  5. Download your voucher and phone the restaurant to make your reservation
  6. Present your voucher when dining and enjoy great savings

What are the benefits of bidding for a meal and why are they so cheap?

The biggest benefit of bidding for a meal is that YOU are in full control of how much you pay. All restaurants have their peak and also their off-peak times (just like any other business). By encouraging customers to come in during their off-peak times, they are prepared to give you a bigger discount on your food.

Also, because of the limited quantity of meals they are selling on the site, they can afford to give a bigger discount to individual customers, instead of having to give smaller discounts to many customers.

Who lists the auctions and determines their conditions?

All restaurants are responsible for their own listings on the site and determine their own terms and conditions. They are also responsible for updating their auction listings and adding new ones. If there is a particular auction you would like to see on the site, you could send us an email and we could ask the restaurant on your behalf, or you could make a request to the restaurant yourself.

Will I be treated differently from other customers at the restaurant?

No. You are the same as any other customer that goes into their restaurant. You will be treated exactly the same as their other customers and will receive the same level of service as well as the same standard and quality of food. You will be given the same (normal) portion size that is served to all other full paying customers that are eating from the same menu.

My voucher just expired - what can I do?

As stated in the terms and conditions, vouchers are non-refundable once they have been purchased. If your voucher has recently expired, please call the restaurant who may allow you to extend it by a few days. This does not need to be done through priceyourmeal and can be done directly with the restaurant. If you require your voucher to be re-issued, please ask the restaurant to contact us and confirm the extension and we will gladly re-issue the voucher.

Can I gift an auction I have won?

A meal at a great restaurant or overnight stay in a fantastic hotel make unique and original gifts. All auctions can be customised as a gift once payment has been complete. For all vouchers that have been pre-paid, the recipient of the gift simply makes a reservation and takes their voucher with them when they go to dine.

Can I book a restaurant without bidding?

For users that do not wish to bid and simply wish to make a reservation at a restaurant, we have a fantastic online booking service. Simply choose the restaurant you wish to dine in, select the date, choose your menu (if required) and make your reservation.

What else can I do on the site?

In addition to the online auctions and booking service, we also have an online event planner that is a great way to plan your next night out, party, event or conference. Simply choose a selection of dates and venues, then get your guests to vote for their favourites. Simple, fun and effective.
